We are seeking a highly skilled Analog and Mixed-Signal Design Engineer with at least 5 years of industry experience, preferably with a PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related field. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in analog and mixed-signal circuit design, along with proficiency in Python programming. The candidate should be hands-on and possess a deep understanding of Cadence design tools for schematic capture, simulation, and layout. Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command-line interfaces is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Design and simulate analog and mixed-signal circuits for high-performance applications.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to define specifications and develop circuit architectures.
- Perform transistor-level design, layout, and verification using Cadence design tools.
- Develop and implement automated design and verification scripts using Python.
- Conduct thorough design analysis, including corner simulations, Monte Carlo analysis, and worst-case analysis.
- Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure layout compliance and manufacturability.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of industry experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design.
- Proficiency in Python programming for automation and scripting.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence design tools (Virtuoso, Spectre, etc.).
- Strong understanding of analog and mixed-signal design techniques, including amplifiers, filters, ADCs, and DACs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital design, with extensive experience in physical design tasks such as floorplanning, placement, routing, and timing closure. Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, is essential for this role, along with the ability to develop automation solutions to streamline the design process and improve productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Lead digital design efforts for complex ASIC projects, including RTL design, synthesis, and verification.
- Utilize expertise in physical design methodologies to guide chip-level physical implementation tasks, such as floorplanning, placement, routing, and timing closure.
- Develop and maintain custom scripts and automation tools to streamline digital and physical design tasks, enhance design productivity, and improve overall design quality.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, verification, and physical design teams, to ensure successful tape-out of ASIC designs.
- Perform design analysis and optimization to meet performance, power, and area (PPA) targets for advanced semiconductor products.
